Moyes remaining positive over potential incomings
We’re now just one week away from the summer transfer window’s end and Sunderland are looking rather weak, to be brutally honest.
Having been hit with a massively unfortunate injury crisis and been caught up in a summer of transition, with David Moyes coming in as the new manager, replacing Sam Allardyce, it’s been tricky to become fully prepared for the long season ahead.
However, if there’s one man that has been put in a difficult situation with the changes at Sunderland, it’s David Moyes.
Although Sunderland have added some new faces to their squad since his arrival, Moyes has reassured the fans that he is still confident of bringing in some more players before the window slams shut next week, The Guardian have reported.
I’m confident we’ll get a few in before the first of September but the quality of the players that Sunderland can get at the moment is probably not what I’ve had in the Premier League. Not even close.
You look at our competitors and what they’re spending and we’re having to deal differently.
Moyes will certainly need to bring in a few reinforcements due to the current injury crisis that is ongoing at Sunderland, leaving them weak in a number of key positions.
