# SAFC’s Worst January Signings- Top Five

Sunderland fans know all to well that the club’s dealings in the transfer market can be dodgy, and after revealing the [top five signings](https://readsunderland.com/2016/01/05/safcs-best-january-signings-top-five/) the Black Cats have made in the January transfer window, we look at the opposite end of the spectrum – the five worst.

The list, covering the last 19 years, features some well-known names as well as some forgotten – usually for very good reasons.

Whilst we wait for the first January signing of this season, take a look at the list and hope that Sam Allardyce’s judgement means we won’t be adding any names to this list next year!
