# Sakho favours Black Cats move

[The Sunderland Echo](https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/diafra-sakho-keen-on-sunderland-move-despite-wba-palace-and-watford-interest-1-8006923) are reporting that Diafra Sakho is more tempted to join [Sunderland](https://readsunderland.com/) for a reunion with Sam Allardyce, rather than making a switch to anywhere else, with [Crystal Palace](https://readcrystalpalace.com/), [Watford](https://readwatford.com/) and [West Brom](https://readwestbrom.com/) interested.

The search for [Sunderland](https://readsunderland.com/)’s first signing of the summer is still ongoing, as former [Newcastle United](https://readnewcastle.com/) left-back Davide Santon’s switch from Serie A side Inter Milan fell through last week.

The Black Cats’ other priority in the transfer window rather than a defender, is a striker, with Hammers forward Sakho handing in a transfer request at the East London side to force through a move to Sam Allardyce’s side.

It was only last month that West Ham rejected an offer from [Sunderland](https://readsunderland.com/) for Sakho, and it’s no certainty that the move for the forward to his wanted club will go through, with several [Premier League](https://readpl.com/) sides interested.

Sakho is said to be in favour of a move to the Olympic Stadium, to work under the manager who brought him into the [Premier League](https://readpl.com/) back when Allardyce was in charge at the Boleyn Ground.
