Sunderland begin their 2015/16 campaign with a trip to The King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on Saturday where both teams will be looking to start the season on a positive note with three points.
The hosts, under new manager Claudio Ranieri, are hoping to progress from last season’s near brush with relegation. Likewise with Sunderland and Dick Advocaat, who having dipped into the transfer market, will be hoping to push towards the middle of the table this term.
This fixture has brought five draws from 10 meetings, with Leicester slightly edging the head to head with three wins to Sunderland’s two.
Kick-off – Saturday 8th August at 3pm
Venue – King Power Stadium
Last season – 0-0
Referee – Lee Mason
Read Sunderland’s Prediction –
Both teams will be going for a win and will be out the traps early. With the attacking threat of both sides it will be down to whose defence is on top. We are sticking with how the history of this fixture has panned out and saying a draw – 1-1
