Sunderland are keen to sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan, according to Sky Sports.
After the recent departure of 2014/15 leading scorer Connor Wickham (5 goals) to Crystal Palace, the Black Cats are looking to bolster their attack for the upcoming Premier League season after bagging a mere 31 goals in the last campaign.
Januzaj, who has also been courted by Merseyside club Everton, made 21 fruitless starts for the Red Devils across all competitions this past season, managing not one goal.
However, Januzaj looked very sharp in United’s preseason matches, playing in three of four matches and finding the back of the net against the almighty Barcelona in a performance that Dutch gaffer Louis van Gaal praised.
With the competition looking stiff for a spot in the midfield at Old Trafford time at the Stadium of Light may be just what the baby-faced Belgian needs, especially with the recent arrival of former PSV prodigy Memphis Depay.
