A large squad to choose from this season for Dick Advocaat has led to Sunderland looking to loan out fringe players to football league teams with the use of the emergency loan window. The likes of Liam Bridcutt, Will Buckley, Charis Mavrias and Valetin Roberge have no first-team future on Wearside and the Black Cats are hopeful of moving them on in the coming weeks.
Efforts to move the players above on a permanent basis during the summer were unsuccessful, however, with the emergency loan window opening on Wednesday, officials on Wearside will be hoping to find opportunities for the unwanted players, albeit temporarily.
Former Brighton due Liam Bridcutt and Will Buckley both received interest in the summer from clubs in the Championship and look the easiest for Sunderland to move on, and unsurprisingly none of the four mentioned above are yet to appear yet this season.
The Black Cats have until November 25th to move the players out on loan and hopefully they can impress enough on their loan spells to warrant a permanent move in the future.
