Jordan Pickford
Fresh from his debut against the USA last week, Pickford continued to impress this time against Norwegian under 21 opposition. The Sunderland loan star was called into action more against Norway, pulling off a string of good saves to help the team to victory and yet another clean sheet. – Helped
Steven Fletcher
Despite Scotland’s lively 3-2 defeat to Germany at Hampden Park, Steven Fletcher was unnoticeable for large parts of the game. Many questioned Gordon Strachan’s decision to stick with Fletcher after his performance against Georgia. Unfortunately, Fletcher made very little impact throughout the game despite playing the whole game. At least Sunderland fans can be encouraged by a potential improvement in the Scot’s fitness with injuries proving a large setback on his time on Wearside. – Neither

John O’Shea
John O’Shea once again found himself in the heart of a stern Republic of Ireland defence that kept yet another clean sheet this week. Georgia’s performance against Scotland last week showed Ireland were in for a firmer test then Gibraltar gave them. More playing time and experience in a winning side will no doubt leave strong impressions of Dick Advocaat when it comes to selecting the team to face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. – Helped
Sebastian Larsson
Sweden found themselves on the end of an uninspiring defeat to the hands of Austria in a game where Larsson once again showed his versatility by slotting in at right back. He appeared to have little impact on the game, although lining up in a defence that conceded four does not bode well if he wants to stake a claim in this newfound role at club level. – Hindered

DeAndre Yedlin
The Tottenham loanee was selected in right midfield for the game against Brazil, where we once again went on to complete the whole 90 minutes. Sadly, Yedlin’s USA side was picked apart by a strong Brazil team that took advantage of Jürgen Klinsmann’s experimental team selection.
Despite a mediocre performance from Yedlin and his side, Klinsmann came out to say he will keep the Sunderland loan man in the senior set for upcoming games rather than allowing him to feature in the under 23 side for Olympic qualifying. Experience in these high profile games at just 22 will no doubt further his development for his country and hopefully at club level too. – Neither
Duncan Watmore, Costel Pantilimon & Ola Toivonen
The players above were all called up to their respective countries but found themselves as unused substitutes in the latest round of international fixtures. – Neither
