Hello from Read Tottenham and welcome to our opposition preview of what Sunderland can expect as they take on Spurs this weekend.
What Can you Expect from Tottenham:
Tottenham, as you can see from the opening games are not exactly scoring goals for fun at the moment but with Mauricio Pochettino in charge, you can almost guarantee we won’t concede many at the other end either. However, it remains to see what sort of effect the new signings of Son and N’Jie can add to the side and whether they will help this current Tottenham side be more threatening in attack. The key strength of Spurs this weekend will be our centre midfield trio which includes Dier at the base of the three, playing as a defensive midfielder. If other parts of our team has flattered to deceive then the midfield is one part that has stood out and performed well.

Key Player: Harry Kane
Yes, he may not have hit the ground running this season with a Spurs shirt on, but two goals in two games for England on international duty show that he is not a one-season wonder. If we can adapt our tactics in order to ensure that Kane gets the service he needs, then it won’t be long before he starts firing again for us this season. Hopefully, new boys Son and N’Jie can provide it against Sunderland this weekend.

Predicted Line-up:
Lloris, Walker, Verthongen, Alderwiereld, Rose, Chadli, Dier, Bentaleb, Mason, Son, Kane
Read Tottenham Prediction:
Sunderland 1-2 Tottenham
I think we will record our first win of the season, with Kane getting his first goal for Tottenham this season. However, I think Sunderland will provide a stern test after an incredibly poor start to the season and will not to put in another poor performance in front of their home fans.
