Each week before every Sunderland game, you along with a few representatives from Read Sunderland will try to predict the score.
Think yours is better than any of ours? Tweet @ReadSunderland your prediction in the days leading up to the next game and you might be the first to be picked to have your say on Read Sunderland. Below is Read Sunderland’s predictions vs Bournemouth for this Saturday’s premier league clash.
Chris Sparks – Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland
I think the Black Cats will just edge this one, but it will be tough. Bournemouth will be looking to bounce back in front of their home support following a disappointing defeat to Norwich last time out. I back both teams to score, with Sunderland having a nervy last 10 minutes. Hopefully, Fabio Borini can open his account this Saturday, whilst I’m backing Defoe to continue his scoring this weekend.

Joe Rowell – Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland
I’m going for a 2-1 victory this week. Both sides are yet to keep a clean sheet, with Sunderland conceding 11 goals in their opening 5 games, and Bournemouth conceding 2 less with 9 goals. Bournemouth are coming into the game having just lost 3-1 against fellow promoted team Norwich, the same result Sunderland suffered against them too. Sunderland, however, have just lost 1-0 despite a very positive performance against Spurs, with all the players commenting about the positivity in the changing room. I think playing to the strengths we have against Spurs, we should have enough to see off Bournemouth, but they will push and push and will no doubt break our defences.

I think Sunderland will edge a tight and poor game on Saturday with Ola Toivonen opening his Black Cats account. The Swede is dangerous in the air and will be a massive asset from set plays, which is where Saturday’s game will be won I believe. A first clean sheet of the season will be a huge confidence booster for the Black Cats defence too.
