Sunderland forward Mikael Mandron has left the club on loan to join Hartlepool United in the Football League until January 2nd.
The 21-year-old striker has had two previous loan spells, at Fleetwood and Shrewsbury but only amassed one goal in 14 games. However, he is highly thought of on Wearside and could have a big future at the club.
Despite being born in France, Mandron has been called up by Scotland in their youth set-up through one of his relatives having been born in Aberdeen, and after accepting the call-up, it looks as though that is the country he could play for at senior level.
Mandron has been very impressive for the Black Cats’ under-21 side this season and a move to Hartlepool could be very important in his development and hopefully he will be able to go and score goals and come back ready to fight for a place in Big Sam’s side.
