Sunderland are thought to be very interested in signing Derby County forward Chris Martin.
The England-born, Scottish international has had another good start to the Championship season, scoring eight goals already and he has now reportedly caught the interest of the Premier League side.
Martin has scored over 50 goals since joining Derby two years ago and has been one of the most reliable Championship forwards in the last two seasons.
He does have previous Premier League experience with Norwich City. He was with the current Premier League side for a number of years, coming through their academy. He played for the club in League One, the Championship and the Premier League.
However, he did not quite hit it off in the Premier League with the Canaries and was let go on a free transfer to the Rams, where he has been in a revelation. So, can he do with Sunderland what he couldn’t do with Norwich and produce in the top flight?
