Andy Carroll may not be in a black and white shirt at the moment, but it’s what Sunderland fans know him for. However, will the Geordie soon be a Black Cat?
Goal reports that Sam Allardyce is lining up a January bid for the man he signed for West Ham back in 2013, after it seems the Hammers are looking to accept an offer.

The man from Gateshead spent 5 years in a Newcastle shirt before making the switch to Liverpool in 2011, for what was one of the more controversial transfer bids of the season. Since moving to West Ham, he has been continually linked with a return to St James’ following his form for the London based club.
Carroll is currently West Ham’s biggest earner at £85,000 a week, seeing the Hammers pick up around £14 million of his wages should he leave in January, as he is contracted until 2019.

Surprisingly, a price tag of around £8 million has been suggested for the England international, £7 million less than what they paid for him.
Defoe and Fletcher have a tally of 10 goals between them this season, but Allardyce believes a reunion with one of his more favoured players could be the boost Sunderland needs to climb out of the relegation zone come the end of the season.
Following Big Sam’s departure, Carroll has fallen behind the majority of the strikers at West Ham, even after scoring the winner against champions Chelsea at the Boleyn a few weeks ago. Could his career recovery be where he least expects it?
