Sunderland lost to managerless Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, going down to the champions by three goals to one. Two first half goals from Branislav Ivanovic and Pedro saw the Black Cats chasing the game in a hostile atmosphere at Stamford Bridge. Oscar made it three from the penalty spot shortly after the break following a rash challenge from the poor Costel Pantilimon. Fabio Borini scored his first goal of the season and his first in his second spell in red and white but it was not enough.
