Sunderland fans know all to well that the club’s dealings in the transfer market can be dodgy, and after revealing the top five signings the Black Cats have made in the January transfer window, we look at the opposite end of the spectrum – the five worst.
The list, covering the last 19 years, features some well-known names as well as some forgotten – usually for very good reasons.
Whilst we wait for the first January signing of this season, take a look at the list and hope that Sam Allardyce’s judgement means we won’t be adding any names to this list next year!
