Sunderland play their first game of the FA Cup today, facing the holders at the Emirates, a draw which was far from kind. The Mackems have struggled to mount a strong challenge for the cup over the last five years, the closest being the 6th round replay back in the 2011/12 season.
The Black Cats last won the competition back in 1973 but have had some nasty results over the last few seasons. Hopefully, Sunderland finally turn around their bad luck as they become the underdog for the first time in a while.
