Sunderland make a return to the BPL tonight, travelling to league rivals Swansea, who sit only two places above them, and will be looking to close the four-point gap with the Welsh hosts.
The last time this fixture appeared was on 7th February 2015, where Jermain Defoe lead for the visitors at half-time before former loanee Ki Seung-Yeung equalised for the home side and made the game finish 1-1.
Neither team have had a great week, especially the home side, who lost 3-2 to League 2 outfit Oxford United in the FA Cup, alongside losing key midfielder Jonjo Shelvey to the club resting in-between tonight’s teams Newcastle. Sunderland, however, lost to the holders Arsenal at the Emirates 3-1, and both sides will be looking to make an impact on the league table now their cup runs are over.
What should we be looking out for at the Liberty tonight?
