Sam Allardyce has made it evidently clear that he wants Swansea striker Andre Ayew part of his setup at the Stadium of Light, and The Express reports that the Black Cats will be making a second bid for the Ghanaian after a £11 million bid was rejected from the Welsh club.

The attacker has appeared 20 times in the league this season, with seven goals, including one against Big Sam’s side in their 4-2 victory at the Liberty on Wednesday, he has been the stand-out player for the relegation-threatened side. Swansea have already lost an important player to a relegation rival, and it is believed that they will be very reluctant to accept any bids for him at this time, however, Allardyce obviously believes a £14 million bid will attain the impressive forward, who is capable of playing anywhere in the attacking line.
Allardyce’s backup plan, however, is Algerian striker Islam Slimani, who is currently playing for Portuguese outfit, Sporting Lisbon. The forward has been labelled the ‘Algerian Alan Shearer’ over recent years, and with 17 goals already this season is supposedly catching the eye of Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United.

However, Sunderland will supposedly line up a bid for the 27-year-old should the move for Ayew fall through like expected, and could cost the Black Cats anywhere from £15 million upwards.
