Once again, a second half capitulation cost the Black Cats dearly as they went from 1-0 up to 4-1 down at White Hart Lane yesterday.
Patrick Van Aanholt’s opener was cancelled out within 90 seconds before three second half goals brought an end to any hope of Sunderland taking points from three games on the bounce.
Sunderland have returned to second bottom in the league, three points from safety and with a woeful goal difference of -18, the second worst in the league.
