The Sunderland Echo reports that new boy Dame N’Doye will be featured in tomorrow’s home clash against Bournemouth, in what will be a massive game for the Black Cats.
The man on loan from Trabzonspor will be looking to make another decent impact to the Premier League following his time at Hull City in 2015, of where he scored five goals in fifteen games. However, he won’t be featured from the first whistle as he hasn’t played a full 90 minutes since November.
He has, however, had a fantastic first week of training with his new team-mates, as said by Jermain Defoe who has said he looks strong considering his recent playing time.
He is likely to sit alongside the first signing of the window Jan Kirchhoff, who had a nightmare début coming off the bench away to Spurs last weekend.
Allardyce has spoke about his new players, saying that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions about the centre-half just by watching his début:
“What matters is what happens at the end of the season. “That’s the telling point on whether Jan and Dame have been a success or not. “It’s not them having a poor performance for 30 minutes. “Many players performed poorly for 30 minutes, as well as him, but of course with him giving the penalty away and the deflected goal, he gets picked out. “Hopefully, it doesn’t happen to him again and we get stronger from this point onwards.”
It’s fair to say that the German can only move onwards and upwards from last weekends faulty showing, and as fans, we can only hope and spur him on to do much better should he get some minutes. As for new man N’Doye, hopefully we have the attacking link we’ve been missing for a good time.
