According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland are eyeing Bordeaux forward Wahbi Khazri to bolster their attacking line as the transfer window comes to a close. The talented Tunisian has been on Sam Allardyce’s radar for several months, with scouts watching Khazri many times this season.
The Black Cats had originally targeted Andre Ayew as their primary creative playmaker target, however, it appears that Allardyce has turned his attentions to Khazri after Swansea made it clear they have no intention of selling Ayew to a relegation rival.

Swansea City, Aston Villa and Everton have also followed Khazri but it is Sunderland who are hoping to lure the forward to the premier league. The former Bastia man plays across the front line, behind the striker or cutting in from the left-hand side. He is a passionate character, born in Corsica, and has six goals in 13 games for the Tunisian national side since his debut in 2013.
