Sunderland have announced via their official website that Emmanuel Eboue has signed with the club on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Eboue has been training at the Academy of Light over the past few weeks in the hope of getting back into football after leaving Galatasaray last summer. The Black Cats recently trained in Dubai with the squad enjoying the sun in a more relaxed environment. Eboue however, stayed in the north-east with a fitness coach as he looked match-fit, and it appears that the work he put in has paid off after he was offered a short-term contract.

The 32-year-old full-back has experience of playing at the highest levels of European football and will provide some more competition to DeAndre Yedlin, who is on loan to Sam Allardyce’s side from title challengers Tottenham Hotspur.
Eboue is available for Saturday’s clash with Everton, although it is highly unlikely that he’ll start the game.
