A report by Chronicle Live suggests that Premier League sides Sunderland and West Brom are interested in Bristol City’s defender Aden Flint.
Bristol City’s new manager Lee Johnson commented that he believes the 6ft 7in centre-back is good enough to play in England’s top-tier.
It is believed that the 26-year-old defender has attracted attention from Sunderland and West Brom this season, with earlier reports claiming that both clubs are considering a £2 million for him in the summer.

Newly promoted Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has turned the Robins’ season around since stepping up for his first season in the Championship. The ambitious manager has won four out of seven of his first games at the club.
Johnson, who hopes he can take Bristol to the Premier League in the near future, says that he wants to keep the defender but isn’t surprised that he’s being linked with a move.
It does not surprise me at all. You’ve only got to look at someone like Gareth McAuley to see what is possible. He went to the Premier League at the same age as Aden Flint is now and went on to have a really good career. I have no doubt he can do it at an even higher level. I’ve no doubt he has a Premier League future ahead of him and, hopefully, it is with us.

Flint was signed by Bristol City back in 2013 for a fee of £300,000 from Swindon Town and he has appeared in over a hundred matches for the Robins, netting an impressive 23 goals.
The defender has made a total of 37 Football League Championship appearances this season, scoring six goals.
Bristol City currently sit 19th in the Championship, only four points clear of relegation and with Premier League teams interested, it might be tough for them to keep hold of the defender.
