Southampton are currently monitoring Tottenham defender DeAndre Yedlin, who is on loan at Sunderland, we understand.
Southampton are tracking the progress of Yedlin ahead of a potential summer deal for the full-back.
Yedlin is currently at Sunderland on loan until the end of the season and has made 15 appearances for The Black Cats to date.
Yedlin joined Sunderland on the final day of the summer transfer window and has only featured in 13 Premier League matches so far.

He is Sunderland’s first choice at the moment as they look to survive the drop with eight matches to go. Sunderland are currently in a relegation scrap with Newcastle, Norwich and Crystal Palace, with two of those teams looking likely to go down with Aston Villa, who are as good as down themselves.
Southampton will be closely following how Yedlin does between now and the end of the season before deciding what to do from there.
Cedric Soares and Cuco Martina are currently Southampton’s two right-back options but neither has really nailed down the spot as their own for a prolonged period of time this season so far.
Yedlin is still 22-years-old and it would more than likely take a big fee in the summer to tempt Spurs into letting go of the United States international.
