Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has received some welcome news ahead of this weekend’s match with West Brom after it was confirmed that two of his starters will be fit for the tie.
The Black Cats will start the weekend in the relegation zone, but with Norwich City playing Newcastle United on the same day, a victory over Tony Pulis’ side could be huge in terms of putting pressure on those around them.

There had been doubts over the fitness of both Wahbi Khazri and Lamine Kone after they both pulled out of their national squads for their African Cup of Nations qualifiers with Tunisia and the Ivory Coast respectively, however, the Sunderland Echo report that both will be available for selection at the weekend which is great news for Allardyce.
Both suffered minor injuries during the Tyne-Wear derby but their decisions to pull out of their international squads were more precautionary than anything else.
