Sunderland have reportedly joined the race to sign Lorient midfielder Didier Ndong according to a report in French publication L’Equipe.
Monaco, Torino and Spartak Moscow are said to be interested in signing the 21-year-old and it seems that Sunderland have now joined them in their pursuits.
The Gabonese international predominantly played as a defensive midfielder for Lorient last year. He featured in 40 games in all competitions, scoring two goals.

According to L’Equipe, Tornio have already had a €5million bid for the player rejected and are linking Spartak Moscow with a €10million bid of their own, so Sunderland would presumably at least have to match that offer if they want to sign him.
Sam Allardyce will be keen to add more quality to his squad as he will be looking to keep Sunderland out of a possible relegation battle and it looks as though he will once again look to a Lorient player after signing the impressive Lamine Kone from them in January
