According to the Chronicle, Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson is a transfer target for Leeds United as their new manager Garry Monk starts to prepare for next season.
The Swedish midfielder, who is poised to start for his national side against the Republic of Ireland in their Euro 2016 clash this evening, has been named as a potential target by former Swansea boss Monk.
12 months ago, Larsson was named as the Black Cats’ Player of the Season, but it seems as though now he is not in the plans of Sam Allardyce at the Stadium of Light.

The midfielder failed to cement a spot in the team after coming back from injury and could be one of many players to depart Sunderland this summer as Big Sam looks to revamp and refresh his squad.
Last campaign, Larsson only managed to pop up with a single assist – setting up Duncan Watmore’s goal against now relegated Norwich City. Despite being a popular figure around the club, Larsson will be on the lookout for regular playing time, something not promised on Wearside.
The 31-year-old could be swooped for by Garry Monk at Elland Road, with the midfielder’s technical ability suiting the Monk’s attacking, passing football.
