According to The Sunderland Echo, Chelsea are yet to make an approach to sign Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini.
Giaccherini has been touted with a move to Chelsea this summer, but the report states that Sunderland do not expect Chelsea to come in with any sort of offer for the midfielder this summer.
The link has come from new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte calling Giaccherini into the Italy squad for the European Championships this summer. The attacking midfielder even scored against Belgium in the opening group stage match. He delightfully brought down Leonardo Bonucci’s ball and finessed the ball past Thibaut Courtois in a 2-0 win for Italy.

Sunderland are keen to let go of Emanuele Giaccherini, with Italy looking like the most probably destination – back to his homeland.
He spent last season on loan at Bologna in Italy, scoring seven league goals in 25 games for the club. However, they don’t have the funds to make the move permanent.
