According to a recent report from ESPN FC and their sources, Sunderland are weighing up a move to re-sign Tottenham right-back DeAndre Yedlin this summer following interest in the American from other clubs.
The USA international defender spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light but no further move has been negotiated as of yet but that could soon change, with Sunderland reportedly interested in pursuing Yedlin.
The 23-year-old featured here and there for Spurs in pre-season but, with Kyle Walker and Kieron Trippier at White Hart Lane, Yedlin’s first-team chances there are incredibly unlikely to come about very often.

Yedlin made 21 appearances for Sunderland last season and played considerably well when called upon.
It’s well known that The Black Cats are looking to bolster their defence by the end of the window and Yedlin would be a good addition in terms of both quality and squad depth.
Yedlin was a key figure in his country’s campaign at Copa America, as USA finished fourth in the competition and is attracting interest from Burnley.
