Sunderland are close to agreeing a season-long loan deal for Spanish right-back Javier Manquillo, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old is on the books at Atletico Madrid but has spent the last few seasons out on loan. He had a spell in the Premier League with Liverpool before making a temporary switch to Marseille.
Watford are said to be interested in Manquillo too but it looks like Sunderland are the side most likely to get a deal done.

Atletico are keen to let him go out on loan again to get regular first team football, as he’s got little chance of moving ahead of either Juanfran or Sime Vrsjalko in the pecking order.
Manquillo played 37 games in Ligue 1 last season and will be hoping to get a similar amount of football in the North East.
What that means for Donald Love, who started the last two games at right-back, remains to be seen.
