After being at the heart of what can only be described as a summer of transition at Sunderland, boss David Moyes has admitted his frustration at the lack of funds available to him, The Guardian have reported.
Moyes was brought in to replace Sam Allardyce at the helm of Sunderland after he took up the opportunity to manage the England national team, leaving the Scotsman with plenty of work to do at his new club.
It’s a well known fact that Sunderland are run in a fairly unique way, with questions and concerns raised over its ownership and an even bigger concern raised over Ellis Short.

However, Moyes has reiterated that he trusts Short and that he is confident that he has Sunderland’s best interests at heart as a football club.
I’ve got full faith in the owner (Short). But there’s no doubt that our budget is not at the level of many other clubs you see buying players at the moment.
With just a week to go in the summer transfer window, Moyes will be hoping that his tight budget will not prevent any fresh faces coming through the door at the Stadium of Light.
We’re two games into the new Premier League season and Sunderland have lost both fixtures; Moyes will look to turn this around with a change in fortunes and some better results with new signings.
