Sunderland travel to the south coast tomorrow looking for a change in fortune when it comes to their Premier League season so far.
Off the back of defeats to Manchester City and Middlesbrough respectively, David Moyes will be hoping that his side can pull off a shock result against Southampton by winning at St Mary’s for the first time in a number of years.
The Saints, however, will be right up for this one. Claude Puel and his men will be looking to silence the doubters and get back into the swing of things with a rampant performance against a potentially vulnerable Sunderland side.
However, they will need to do so with a few restrictions. It is unclear whether or not Ryan Bertrand will make his first appearance of the season as he recovers from a knee injury. If he is still not deemed ready, Matt Targett is set keep his place at left-back.

Saints will be without Jeremy Pied, who has sustained a knee injury, meaning that Cedric Soares will start. Oriol Romeu is also fit and ready for the match.
Sunderland are still without a host of players due to the current injury crisis at the club, however, new signing Javier Manquillo could make his debut for the club at right-back on Saturday.
It’s a massive game for both sides, but Moyes will know the importance of getting a crucial away win.
