According to a report from Belgian news outlet DH this morning, Sunderland are one of many teams chasing Manchester City defender Jason Denayer this week.
David Moyes will be looking to add more reinforcements to his squad amid a massive injury crisis and could look to the young centre-back for another defensive option.
Denayer featured with Belgium at Euro 2016 and has built himself a reputation as one of the world’s best up and coming centre-backs.

He has impressed in recent times with some fairly successful loan spells. He put in a good shift when called upon during his loan at Celtic a couple of seasons ago and, since then, has shown his qualities out in the Turkish league with Galatasaray.
The report claims that Moyes is keen, primarily, on bringing in Denayer on a loan deal in order to have another solid defender in the squad.
However, a host of other clubs are interested in the Scotsman will need to move fast.
