According to a recent report from Dutch media outlet RTV Oost, Sunderland have joined the chase for coveted FC Twente midfielder Hakim Ziyech.
David Moyes will be looking to add to his squad before the summer transfer window slams shut on Wednesday and he could turn to Ziyech to add some star quality and some much-needed creativity within the ranks.
The report states that Sunderland’s fellow Premier League competitors Swansea City are also taking a serious interest in the Moroccan midfielder.
However, it also states that Ziyech is quite keen on remaining in the Eredivisie for the foreseeable future, with Dutch giants Ajax leading the chase for the young midfielder.
The report claims that Ajax have already made an offer for Ziyech but have had their advances rebuffed by Twente. This, however, has not put them off as they look to bring Ziyech in this week.
Competition for Ziyech is fierce but, if Moyes wants creativity, he could be the answer.
