Sunderland travel to White Hart Lane in desperate need for some more points on the board at this early stage of the season.
David Moyes’ press conference took place this morning and he confirmed some team news on the return of Lee Cattermole and Steven Pienaar in training and that they are in contention for Spurs on Sunday. Furthermore, Moyes also confirmed that Jason Denayer and Didier N’Dong are both available for the trip with Victor Anichebe set to miss out, he is carrying a thigh injury and Moyes doesn’t want to take a risk on him getting injured even further.
Moyes also spoke about the contract extension of Lamine Kone, saying that “We’re really pleased to have Lamine and he’s an important player who did very well for Sunderland during his first six months.
“We’ve rewarded him with a new contract and we’re looking for big performances from him now because he’s now at the level where we expect him to be a key player in every game.”
