David Moyes. A name that will cause a mixture of emotions in many bars up and down the country with those in Liverpool will call him an icon for what he Achieved at Everton, and to be honest, I think many people would agree that he had great success in what was a club very much like Sunderland, where avoiding relegation was, at one point, a main goal each year, before established and brought European football to Goodison Park.
However not far down the road in Manchester they’ll tell you that he was a failure and is one of the main reasons for the clubs continued poor form to this day.
Those in Spain will say it was a bit of a failed experiment, and what looks to me like a man taking a job out of desperation after his reputation took such a hit at Manchester United.
And now in the North east, well, we don’t really know what to think of him just yet, some are thinking that he will come good and others are calling for his head already.
This is where Read Sunderland reporters Ciaran Race and Jordan Wilkinson go head to head on their conflicting ideas over Moyes’ current Sunderland reign.
