Sunderland in danger of losing Noah Sadiki after just one season

  • Noah Sadiki impressing in Premier League
  • Multiple clubs showing interest
  • Midfielder has five-year contract

Noah Sadiki has been linked with a move away from Sunderland, despite only arriving from the Belgian Pro League last summer.

Sunderland are having a delightful first season back in the Premier League and Noah Sadiki has been at the centre of the team’s success.

The 21-year-old cost the Black Cats more than £15m, but he is certainly doing all the right things to justify his transfer fee.

In fact, Sunderland may be handed the opportunity to make a sizeable profit on the youngster, even though he has not yet completed a full season at the Stadium of Light.

Noah Sadiki is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs

According to Team Talk, Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of Sadiki, and they are not the only side interested in securing his services.

Chelsea could be set to lose Enzo Fernandez this summer, and Sadiki is seen as a potential replacement for the Argentine.

Arsenal are another team who Sadiki has managed to impress and although they are less likely to agree a deal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton admire the star.

Sadiki has been a key player for Sunderland

It is no secret Sadiki is not the flashiest player in the world. Indeed, he is yet to register a goal contribution this season.

However, the Congo international has been a strong presence in Sunderland’s midfield, showcasing his ball-carrying skills and helping them make movements forward.

Sadiki has made more successful dribbles per 90 minutes than all except two of Sunderland’s players in the Premier League.

He is also among the club’s top performers when it comes to interceptions, as well as turning over possession in the final third.

Sunderland do not want to sell Sadiki

Regent Le Bris’ team understandably have no desire to sell the player who has been one of their best this season.

In fact, he is seen as a key part of their push for European qualification next season, and part of their long-term project.

It is not unreasonable to suggest Sunderland could qualify for the Conference League, or even the Europa League next season. After all, they are now only two points behind sixth place Chelsea after a 1-0 victory over Tottenham.

Should Sunderland manage to claim a European spot, offers are likely to be turned down for Sadiki, even if they would guarantee the club a profit.

After all, with the player still contracted to the club for another four years, there is certainly no reason to let him leave so soon.
