Sunderland are in advanced talks to sell striker Ahmed Abdullahi to Turkish Süper Lig side Eyüpspor.
The 22-year-old Nigerian has struggled with recurring injuries since joining Sunderland from Gent on deadline day in August 2024.
The reported fee was around £1.2 million.
Abdullahi is yet to make a competitive senior appearance for The Lads, despite showing promise and solid scoring form with the U21s, when fit.

In May this year, manager Régis Le Bris indicated a loan move was the most likely path for the upcoming season to help Abdullahi gain senior experience and consistency, but he was never likely to make the grade at Premier League level.
That outcome and his immediate prospects are reflected with a move to the lower reaches of the Turkish Super Lig and Eyüpspor.
As reported by the Sunderland Echo, nothing is agreed at this stage, but negotiations are ongoing.
Club chiefs are unlikely to stand in the way of a permanent deal, as long as the package is suitable.
Ahmed Abdullahi was not part of the first team squad for the win over York City last weekend, and subsequently was not in contention for the US tour.
He has been involved with the U21 team and played in the recent fixture at South Shields.
