Opposition view: West Bromwich Albion

Hello from Read West Brom! I’m the editor Alex Newton and I’m going to give you Sunderland fans the lowdown on the mighty* West Bromwich Albion.

* We’re not really that mighty

What to expect from Albion

Expect a very tough and hard fought game first and foremost. We have a fantastic defensive record since Tony Pulis joined the club and we’ve become very hard to break down. Expect counter-attacking football as we look to utilise the pace of Saido Berahino. Albion will be looking to bounce back after a shaky few games so the home fans will be expecting a big performance.

My thoughts on Sunderland

I’ve never really had any sort of problem with Sunderland. I think you’re a good club although you have been lucky to stay in the league at times over the last few seasons. If I had to chose between Sunderland and Newcastle, I’d certainly pick Sunderland. You also gave us Sessegnon who I really admired when he played for you.

Key Player – Saido Berahino

Easily our best player and all we can wish for now is that he remains committed to the club. 20 Goals last season speaks for itself, he’s a top striker. Hopefully, he can pop up with a goal or two the weekend.

Prediction

I’m expecting a tough game, both sides are in desperate need of a win and Big Sam will want to start off well. Both teams look destined to cancel each other out. I think it’s going to be 0-0 but for some excitement I’ll say 2-2. A Berahino and Defoe double will see the sides split the points.
