Sunderland’s start to 2016 has been tampered in the FA Cup, after losing to the holders 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
It was a bright performance by the Mackems, taking the lead early on through a refreshed Jeremain Lens. However, it wasn’t enough to stop Joel Campbell, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud from bagging Arsenal a place in the Fourth Round.
Alongside Lens, Jordan Pickford also brought a decent standard to the table, as he looks to cause an upset in the goalkeeping pecking order.
