This season has been yet another roller-coaster ride for Sunderland fans, but even through the midst of another relegation battle, Sunderland have been able to showcase some excellent performances over the 2015/16 campaign – ultimately guaranteeing another season in the Premier League.
The season started in the worst possible way for the Black Cats after they failed to win any of their first 9 Premier League matches, but that soon changed when Sam Allardyce arrived. From the New Year onwards, Sunderland only lost 4 games out of 19 and managed to plunge themselves to safety.

Sunderland 3-2 Chelsea
A terrific comeback from 2-1 down as Sunderland all but confirmed their Premier League safety.
