Sunderland enter the race for Vincente Iborra

According to TalkSport Sunderland have joined Valencia and Ruben Kazan in the race for Spanish midfielder Vincente Iborra.

Sunderland are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season and midfield is a position where Sam Allardyce wants to focus on. Iborra was on the verge of a move to West Brom last season however it was rejected and speculation about a move has arisen again this season.

Although Valencia and Ruben Kazan may be seen as superior teams compared to the Black Cats it is rumoured that Iborra wants a move to the premier league. Ruben Kazan are also in talks to keep Yann M’villa who played under Sam Allardyce last season. If they are successful in keeping M’Villa at Kazan then they will give up on Iborra and leave the path clear for Sunderland.

Valencia and Ruben Kazan have already submitted bids for around £6.5-million, however, they have both been rejected.
