Match Preview – Manchester City

The Premier League season is finally upon us!

After what seems like the busiest summer of all time for Sunderland, new manager David Moyes will take charge of his first competitive game as manager of the Black Cats. It isn’t the easy start he was hoping for either, with the Lads visiting the Etihad Stadium to play Manchester City.

Kick-off – Saturday 13th August at 5:30pm

Venue – Etihad Stadium

Last season – Manchester City 4-1 Sunderland

Referee – Bobby Madley

Potential Sunderland Squad – Mannone, Pickford, Jones, O’Shea, Kaboul, Kone, Van Aanholt, Beadling, Djilobdjili, Love, McNair, Khazri, Januzaj, Lens, Watmore, Rodwell, Borini, Defoe.

Injuries: Jones, Larsson and Cattermole (Knee), Kirchhoff (Knock).

Potential City Squad – Hart, Cabellero, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov, Clichy, De Bruyne, Silva, Fernando, Fernandinho, Sterling, Nolito, Aguero, Ihenacho.

Injuries: Sane (knock)

Read Sunderland’s Prediction:

Manchester City 2-1 Sunderland
