Villa place an offer for Sunderland target

Aston Villa are considering a move for former Sunderland loanee DeAndre Yedlin according to a report.

John Percy from the Telegraph reports that the Championship side will consider a move for around £3 million as Roberto Di Matteo looks to strengthen his side ahead of the rest of his Premier League promotion push.

The American international was at the Stadium of Light last season and made 23 appearances under Sam Allardyce.

The 23-year-old joined Spurs from the Seattle Sounders in January 2015 but spent last season on loan at the Black Cats. It isn’t clear if David Moyes would have an interest in getting Yedlin back to the North East.

Yedlin was a key part of Sam Allardyce’s side as they avoided relegation from the Premier League.

Currently Moyes has only two other options at right back in Billy Jones and Donald Love.

Would you have DeAndre Yedlin back at the Stadium of Light?
